What is Unbuilt?
Unbuilt accelerates entrepreneurship in partnership with founders, non-founders, angels, and institutions.At our core, we work with pre-revenue founders to drive early traction, mentorship, and investment readiness as they launch or pivot ventures alongside peers and advisors.Non-founders also join Unbuilt to find co-founding opportunities or to gain real-world experience as they contribute fractionally to numerous early ventures.
How does it work?
Incubator track:
Ideas need work, but most work is a waste of time if not creating customer value or driving feedback.
The incubator track keeps you focused on what matters most and allows you to build on your own time, supported by on-demand advisement and a productive community. You'll have everything you need to reach product market fit or identify and tackle the appropriate pivot.Accelerator track:
Once a venture is validated with early traction you're invited to grow it competitively.
The accelerator track involves more rigor and 1:1 coaching. Supported by expert mentors and a competitive framework, you will quickly reach milestones to attract customers and attain repeatable revenue. Following the competition, founders pitch for optional funding and increased visibility.Pre-founders and Non-founders: Non-founders join Unbuilt as topic advisors or as viable co-founders and are recognized publicly for their contributions. All members (founders and non-founders) accept non-disclosure policies and represent a community of highest integrity.

Once validated, you will enter your venture in a different kind of competition.Founders with validated ventures join an 8-week, traction-based competition. Angels join as coaches, leveraging their skills and network as they compete to help you reach critical milestones.Win or lose, everyone venture is sure to accelerate.

Unbuilt is more than just a founder program.Each year, awards are given to recognize topic advisors for their contributions. (i.e., A marketer awarded for brand contributions to several Unbuilt ventures, building not only these brands, but also their portfolio and resume).Founders, non-founders, angels, and alumni all contribute to the growing community and are recognized as they help build the unbuilt.

Unbuilt is free for students!
Unbuilt partners with universities and colleges to unlock cross-disciplinary collaboration, natural mentorship, and entrepreneurial success for students.Unbuilt's mentorship engine streamlines student-to-peer and student-to-mentor networking to both accelerate student success and safeguard mentors' time. Unbuilt is for angels
Unbuilt partners with hundreds of early founders, accompanies early validation steps, and tees up intentional moments of mutual impact.Unbuilt prioritizes angels' priorities, especially their time. First, you give us an interest profile: tell us the models, industries, or topics you care about. We'll only tag you when we know a relevant founder has a need you can uniquely support.Unbuilt partners with angels in two ways: On-demand mentorship, ideal for busy mentors who want to safeguard their time. For these engagements, Unbuilt will match your preferred availability and interest profile to group or solo mentorship meetings.
Competition coach: This is ideal for angels' with more intention and skin in the game. You'll compete against other angels with a team you draft from a pool of prepared founders. For more information about our first season, please contact Unbuilt.

"We are unbuilt" reminds us of how we all start: with imperfect, often insecure effort that eventually pays off. At Unbuilt, we celebrate that imperfect effort and work to make "eventually" happen a little sooner for all of us.It is a reminder to be humble, stay hungry, and keep building ourselves and others.
